VPR and OVPR offer weekly funding update emails to inform faculty of internal and external funding opportunities in a variety of disciplinary areas.
Pivot (formerly COS)
The Pivot database is available free of charge to IU Bloomington researchers. Pivot allows users to:
- search for funding opportunities
- request weekly updates of new funding opportunities customized to the specific research interests ofhte recipient
- search for potential collaborators at IU Bloomington and elsewhere with compatible research interests
Confidentiality of Reviews
The Office of the Vice Provost follows procedures similar to those of Federal agencies to maintain the transparency of the review process and the anonymity of individual reviewers.

- Check IU listings of external funding opportunities, including limited submissions
- Create a profile on PIVOT and receive regular, personalized listings of funding opportunities
- Consult this comprehensive list of collaborative, cross-disciplinary, and team-based funding opportunities
- Subscribe to funding alerts from agencies most likely to fund your work, such as:
- Review the opportunities included in the weekly updated links created by PDS staff
- Consult with a proposal development specialist.
